Our two year anniversary began with the site hit counter busting past 20,000. (It took 12 months to get to 10K, only an addition 10 months to reach 20K). On the day of our anniversary, the 100th issue of the Mystical Updater was sent out.
Unfortunately, Goemon news slowed to a halt. It was announced that Konami would no longer make games for the N64. As Goemon news stopped, site updates slowed. |
The one year anniversary of the Goemon Import section saw an import walkthrough explosion! The site was only a few games from completing its mission! |
Almost no updates were made due to delays in FAQ deadlines and lack of Goemon news/game info. However, a Konami Wai Wai Racing game featuring Goemon was announced, as well as a Playstation 2 Goemon game. Oddly enough, the site's visitation rate was at its highest in history (about 2,500 hits per month) as the site's hit counter reached 30,000 (that’s another 10K in only 3 months)! |
It was announced that KCEK's Goemon game for the PS2 would come out slightly before Christmas in Japan. Excitement about this game at the site continued to rise as the site was mentioned in EGM as a definitive source on the game (as well as all Goemon games)! This cemented the site as the world leader in Goemon coverage! |
The hit counter hits 40,000 as two new Goemons games are released in Japan (one for the PS2 and the other for the Game Boy Color). Another Playstation Goemon was announced for March 2001, and this site's efforts were turned towards covering these games. |
In April, the counter hits 50,000 (20K in less than a year) as both of the new Goemons
(including the new Playstation Goemon) are covered on the site, complete with new walkthroughs. The three-year anniversary is celebrated with plans of a new site design, and long-term efforts are started once again to complete FAQs for all
Goemon games by the end of the year. Plans are also begun to transfer site design, MTOG/FAQs, and updating responsibilities to Gerimon.
