Site Expansion

**May 1999**
The one year anniversary of this web site!
Also, the 50th newsletter of the Mystical Updater was sent out

**June 1999**
The Goemon Imports section debuted, showing this website's new commitment to all Goemon games. The Goemon Games section was also added for direct navigation to American released Goemon games

**July 1999**
The Shopping page was further expanded to include anime, music, and manga shopping. The History of the Mystical Web Site of Goemon contest premiered, and the page that the contest was named after became the 50th page of this web site (only 14 months before this date, this web site had a white background and was only one page in size!) The site had become the undisputed leader of Goemon coverage!
Unfortunately, major financial and equipment problems by the webmaster caused regular updating to be scaled back for the rest of the summer and fall of 1999.

**August 1999**
Plans were being made to begin to provide walkthroughs or FAQs for all of the Goemon Import games. Also, it was in this month that the site finally hit the 10,000 hit counter mark!

**September 1999**
Continuing technical problems, financial problems, and delays in the release of GGA prompted the first ever "State of the Goemon" address, which talked about these things as well as the future of the website.
Team Goemon were officially introduced as the other members of this website, and work began for improving the Goemon Import section. The first step was getting all of the controls for all of the Import games. The second mission would be to complete walkthroughs for all Goemon games. Basically, Goemon Import section would become more substance filled.
After four delays, the GGA finally came out on September 24th, 1999. But the site's predictions of the game were true; it was one of the greatest Goemon game ever!

**October 1999**
The GGA coverage was completed, and work began to complete the Goemon Import walkthroughs. The rumors of a new Goemon game became true, as it was discovered that a Goemon board game for the N64 and a Goemon RPG for the Game Boy Color would be released on December 16th, 1999 in Japan.
Finally, the 75th edition of the Mystical Updater was sent out, and half of the walkthroughs for the Goemon Import section was completed!

**November 1999**
The rebirth month for the site. A Goemon "fall cleaning" was announced, and after five months of no audio files, they were finally put up (thought some files were lost forever). Many site bugs and errors were cleaned, as well as a revamped Shopping Page, new Goemon Import title names were put up, and many other new things showed up on the site. New file storage facilities were also discovered.

**December 1999**
This was the month in which the two new Goemon import games were released in Japan. Big plans were also made for the new millennium, including a new site address and the elimination of a few pages. The focus of the site was changed back to gameplay, and away from media (screenshots, movies, etc.).

**January 2000**
After 18 months of delay, the site made the move to goemon.com, eliminating the banners and file storage problems. The Awards/Contest Winners page and the Services page were eliminated. The site's financial situation improved greatly, and because of this, the site obtains the soundtrack to the Japanese version of GGA, which had two vocal tracks that were not available in the US version! This site also cleaned up the Goemon Import section, and introduced the possibility on putting up roms for all of the Goemon games. Finally, the declaration was made that this site would have every Goemon game fully covered by the end of the year (this would become a recurring theme, as the site never did fully cover all the games due to multiple reasons, but mainly the language barriers in some of the games, especially the older ones).

**February 2000**
Y2Goemon continued! The Japanese GGA Real Audio files were put up, and there was a massive cut down in the number of audio files on this site. All of the site's files were moved and reorganized, and the art gallery was redone, this time only offering high-quality pictures. The Shopping section was also expanded to include more import gaming sites. Two new Goemon Import pages were put up for the latest Goemon games from Japan. Finally, this site began receiving about 10 times more visitors than usual, due to the new address, which got listed on all the major search engines, including Yahoo!

**March/April 2000**
The roms for all of the Goemon games were finally posted, and new audio files for some Goemon Import games were made. Site attendance continued to rise. Due to increased access to Goemon games provided by the roms on the site, membership to the Mystical Team of Goemon (MTOG) opened, and enlistment exploded. Work began to complete the site walkthroughs
